It is very easy to get wrapped up in the business of doing business. There are always things that can take precedence with your time. However, we wanted to take time out of last week and do something for a group of individuals who deserve all the fun and food they can get - the kids of Cel-Kids Colorado. The Cel-Kids group sponsored a dinner and movie night and we provided some yummie, allergy friendly desserts.
Because allergies often come in mulitples, we made sure everything we made was gluten free, dairy free, and egg free. We used our Gluten Free Raspberry Oat Bar recipe and substituted Earth Balance for the butter. The results were equally as delicious. Then we made some Gluten Free Whoopie Pies that are about the easiest and cutest dessert ever! It was quite fun to take a break from larger volume production and spend a little time cooking desserts that would get gobbled up by little hands.
